The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 . The ICC decided to relocate the event, initially planned for Bangladesh, due to concerns over travel advisories affecting several teams.
Why the Venue Change?
The ICC decided to move the tournament due to safety concerns related to travel advisories for Bangladesh. These advisories raised significant concerns about the event’s logistics and safety. To address these issues, the ICC looked for an alternative venue. They chose the UAE as the new location for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. The UAE was selected because it has a well-established cricket infrastructure. Additionally, the UAE has extensive experience in hosting international tournaments.
