5. Bharat Hooda – ₹1.3 Crore (UP Yoddhas)
UP Yoddhas signed Bharat Hooda for ₹1.3 crore, beating stiff competition from Telugu Titans, who hoped to pair him with their star Pawan Sehrawat. Ultimately, UP Yoddhas had the financial upper hand to secure the 23-year-old raider.
Bharat showcased his potential with Bengaluru Bulls, progressing from a support role in Season 8 to the lead raider in Season 9, where he scored 279 points, becoming the second-best raider that year. However, his form dipped last season, drawing criticism from his coach, Randhir Singh.
Now with the Yoddhas, Bharat aims to rebuild his form and establish a dynamic partnership with Surender Gill.
4. Pawan Sehrawat – ₹1.725 Crore (Telugu Titans)
The Telugu Titans retained Indian captain Pawan Sehrawat using their Final Bid Match (FBM) card after a fierce bidding war. Initially, U Mumba outbid Bengaluru Bulls to claim Sehrawat for ₹1.725 crore, but the Titans exercised their option to retain him.
Pawan, who led Bengaluru Bulls to a PKL title in Season 6 and earned the Most Valuable Player award, has been a consistent performer. After joining Tamil Thalaivas in Season 9, an injury in the first match sidelined him for the rest of the season. The Titans later signed him for a record ₹2.615 crore in Season 10, but despite his 202 raid points, the team managed only two wins in 22 matches.
With new additions to the squad, Telugu Titans are counting on Sehrawat’s leadership to achieve better results this season.
3. Guman Singh – ₹1.97 Crore (Gujarat Giants)
Guman Singh earned a hefty ₹1.97 crore deal with Gujarat Giants, where he will form an exciting raiding unit with Rakesh and Parteek Dahiya. The bidding for Guman began with Telugu Titans, but it soon turned into a contest between UP Yoddhas and Gujarat Giants. Ultimately, Gujarat secured the raider, reuniting him with coach Ram Mehar Singh.
Guman’s talent first came to light with Patna Pirates under Ram Mehar Singh’s guidance. However, after being released due to an excess of raiders, he joined U Mumba, where he consistently delivered as the team’s top raider for two seasons. Despite injuries disrupting his campaigns, Guman’s potential remains undeniable.
2. Mohammadreza Shadloui – ₹2.07 Crore (Haryana Steelers)
Iranian defender Mohammadreza Shadloui, one of the most expensive buys of PKL 11, was signed by Haryana Steelers for ₹2.07 crore after a fierce bidding war. Joining a strong defense featuring Jaideep Dahiya, Rahul Sethpal, and Mohit Nandal, Shadloui is set to boost their lineup.
Shadloui made his mark with Patna Pirates, scoring 89 tackle points in his debut season. His record ₹2.35 crore deal with Puneri Paltan in Season 10 helped them win the title with 99 tackle points. Now, with Haryana, he’s ready to strengthen their defense as one of the most expensive buys of PKL 11.
1. Sachin Tanwar – ₹2.15 Crore (Tamil Thalaivas)
Sachin Tanwar became one of the most expensive buys of PKL 11 when Tamil Thalaivas secured him for ₹2.15 crore on Day 1, making him the third player in PKL history to cross the ₹2 crore mark.
The bidding for the most expensive buys of PKL 11 started with Telugu Titans at ₹70 lakhs, followed by UP Yoddhas and Gujarat Giants. After a fierce battle, Thalaivas won the bid for Sachin.
Sachin had a solid debut with Gujarat Giants but faced challenges in later seasons. After moving to Patna Pirates, he scored 172 raid points in 23 matches and helped his team reach the finals in Season 8.
Now with Tamil Thalaivas, Sachin looks to shine as one of the most expensive buys of PKL 11 alongside Narender Kandola and make a strong impact this season.
